Star Wars Battlefront II, has left gamers baffled by adding micropayment features. Now if someone wants to battle the dark-side or think about establishing their legend, they can do so with force of their credit card!
Gamers are angry. Apart from the extra cost of magic bullets and laser -yielding swords, which could easily be spent on tooth paste, there is an obvious disregard for the ethos of gaming which is open, competitive and community oriented.
Given the blowback from the gaming community, EA has pulled the feature from the game
… and recently added it to new Sims 4 game, the Cats and Dogs edition.
